Waipu Cove
From the client…
“For our generous piece of land near Waipu Cove overlooking Bream Bay, we wanted an unobtrusive single level holiday home which blended gently onto the land and made the most of the northerly aspect out to the Bay.
We envisaged a spacious, easy-to-use living area which lent itself to hosting and accommodating multiple friends or family members without fuss.
The house is beautifully functional and has exceeded our expectations. We are delighted with the result and enjoy the living experience it provides.

One of our favourite features is the multi-gabled roof line which is lodge-like and welcoming from the outside and delivers space internally.
We love that all living areas and bedrooms open to the north, the lawn and the view. The spacious indoor living area transitions seamlessly to the large outdoor deck and from there to the lawn. The substantial laminated pine exposed trusses look spectacular when viewed from inside or outside the house.
Another favourite is the “hanging” corner of the living area. When the sliding doors slide back, the inside and outside blend into one area to socialise.
Working with Abri Architects was comfortable and a pleasure. The design process was thorough, and we felt our input was valued and factored into all decisions. A number of major design changes were made without drama, as we worked towards the look and functionality we envisaged.
