Remuera Golf Club Driving Range
We’ve been associated with Remuera Golf Club for over twenty years and have assisted the club in a number of refurbishment projects as they seek to expand their operation to welcome the local community to enjoy the unique surroundings that the course and environs provide.
An early initiative some years back was to install a cover over the existing simple hard stand driving range, and this proved very successful in making the range useable regardless of weather conditions, and attracting locals to make use of the great facilities at the club.
Following this success, the club has sought to expand its operations by way of a purpose built two storey driving range and function rooms facility.

Upstairs, eight bays include a highly specified ‘fitting room’ that is used for teaching and custom fitting of golf clubs and equipment. This is supported by a large member lounge area for warm up and general use by members. The eight bays are set at the same level as the original range, some four metres above ground, and safety from falling is achieved by wide nets, similar to those used on helicopter landing pads to avoid interference with balls being hit form the range mats.
Down below another eight bays are supported by function space which can be divided for smaller meetings or gatherings. Flexible meeting spaces so close to Auckland central with a unique golfing experience e attached has proved to be a great formula for corporate and private functions, and has attracted huge numbers of people to experience golf in a very different social setting to one that they might have expected.
Use of TopTracer ball tracking systems means that users can experience a true golf experience on a number of famous course around the world, without stepping out of the comforts the range offers
The range building was opened officially by the club’s Patron, John Rainger and blessed formally by local iwi representatives, in front of local neighbours, members and dignitaries.
The club is proud of its new addition, the increase in activity it promotes, and especially how it has encouraged the local community to engage positively with it.
